Also referred to as statutory dismissals, that are unfair:

  1. Non renewal of fixed term contracts especially where the employee had a legitimate expectation of renewal after various fixed term contracts were renewed by the employer;
  2. Constructive dismissal – see our tab on constructive dismissal;
  3. Termination due to pregnancy or while on maternity leave;
  4. Selective non-remployment, for example where other employees were dismissed with you, and they were re-employed by the employer but not you.
